Party Appetizer: Sliders
DIY Slider Recipe Everyone Will LOVE!
So this is the recipe for everyone. If you are the “hostess with the mostess” and always throw little get-togethers or parties, this is a great party appetizer that everyone will love. If you have a party to go to and can’t figure out what to bring – try this and you will be the hit of the party. I’ve converted the original recipe for sliders into a variation that can be used as an appetizer or dinner as well.
I tasted a friend’s mini sliders at a party and had to have the recipe. I found it on allrecipes.com (you know how I love that site) and have used it many times since!
My variation: Cheeseburger Egg Rolls
Brown 1 lb. beef or turkey with one packet of onion-soup mix and drain any excess fat when finished. Add about 1/3 cup mayo to the meat and mix well. Take one egg roll wrapper, place 1/3 slice of american cheese in the middle, a scoop of the meat mixture (just enough for the size wrapper you have), add a small slice of dill pickle, wrap, roll and seal. Fry these in canola oil (I’ve tried other oils, canola is the best!) and drain on a paper towel. Use ketchup or ranch for dipping….AMAZING!
This makes about 10 or so cheeseburger egg rolls, double the recipe if you’re making for a crowd.
Honestly, my husband will eat 10 of these if he could. I try and have a salad on the side or a healthy version of a pasta salad so I don’t feel so guilty about eating them, but trust me, it’s worth the calories!
