Ivory Room Wedding / Erika + Zach
Erika came to us knee deep in law school and wedding planning…dreaming of a classic, elegant Ivory Room wedding in September. She was at Duke Law School, preparing for her final year of classes, while her fiance was in Ohio on the presidential campaign trail – to say they were busy, is an understatement. She knew she had a busy year ahead of her, with the wedding date only a few weeks after her bar exam and the start of her new career….so, she came to us for some help!
Both graduates of The Ohio State University, they wanted to incorporate some Ohio flare into the day, but keep the overall feel of the wedding very classic and elegant. We convinced her to throw in a pop of deep red into her visions of ivory, gold and navy, and it came out beautifully! We went with a simple champagne linen for the guests and a stunning navy sequin for the cake table (did I mention that I am obsessed with this navy sequin?) with little pops of navy on the stationary, and blush and deep red in the flowers.
The day was a perfect fall day. The bridal party was relaxed and easy going the entire day from start to finish. We ended the night with an appearance by Brutus Buckeye decked out in a full sequin Ohio State jacket. I think everything was perfect for Erika and Zach, it was such a pleasure to watch their enjoyment all night long!
