This month’s featured vendor is one of our favorite floral designers, Vessel Floral and Event Design. Vessel was started in Columbus, Ohio just a few years ago and is thriving in the bridal industry. Every piece is unique, elegant, and perfect. We have never been disappointed!
Background of Vessel
The company began with Michael Miller’s love for design. “Interior design was really the birthplace of my idea to start a floral and event design business.” Looking at the saturated bridal market in Columbus was scary, but in the end it was worth it. Michael thought about how he could be different from the other florists in Columbus, and ran with it. He still uses this mindset with every couple he works with.
Vessel’s Style
Vessel’s florals are elegant and simple while keeping the designs modern. Michaels says “we like to let the flowers speak for themselves.”
What Should You Bring?
When you first meet with Vessel, Michael says its best to bring inspiration pictures - shots of rooms, tables and events that fill your vision. Your flowers reflect you and need to achieve the design that you desire.
Favorite Color Combination?
“I could never pick one favorite, they’re all fabulous! But for me personally, it will always be white orchids, roses - single color pallet is my favorite.”
Unique Wedding Designs
“Lets be honest, we’re not reinventing the wheel here, BUT I would say we’re unique in a way that we like to use flowers en masse - I love flooding a room or a table with tons of one type of flower. It’s so impactful, yet so chic at the same time.”
Favorite Part
Michael shares that he loves seeing his clients on their big day. Watching their faces when they see their florals, he loves seeing that their vision came to life. “It is so fulfilling, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.” We agree!
Vessel just moved to a new location in German Village. It’s a great little spot to have your consultations with Michael - with that super cool Vessel vibe!
