The Westin // Amy & Bill

August 10th, 2019
The Westin

Amy and Bill live in NYC, but both of their families live in Ohio – they wanted to find a venue that could host over 200 of their closest friends and family for an amazing party! A drab ballroom wouldn’t fit their personalities, but The Westin Downtown Columbus offered the natural light and sophistication they hoped for, in the heart of the city.

Amy is one of those girls that you can’t help but love; she’s so sweet and kind, just a pleasure to work with. Bill is one of the funniest grooms I’ve worked with – he has a serious love for the Supreme brand (which Amy and I regularly made fun of him for) and has a witty comment for any situation. They were a dream to work with from beginning to end, check out all the beauty of the day (despite the downpour!) captured by my girl Allison at Kismet.

Getting Ready

LOVE the action shots of the ladies in their matching robes, with the champagne! Nothing is better than seeing the bridal have fun on the wedding day!

Also, can we talk about these laser cut invitations?? They were a combination of a few inspiration suites we found, they turned out perfectly!

Bride and Groom

This wedding was in May, so weather is always a crap shoot. We got poured on, right when it was time for outdoor photos. Bill and Amy didn’t let it ruin their day, and they ended up with amazing photos anyway!

The Reception

The Westin is always such a beautiful setting, but really wanted to elevate the ever popular blush wedding design. Vessel really brought our vision to life with an ombre head table design and unique centerpieces! We created an amazing (if I do say so myself) acrylic escort board with silk ribbon meal indicators on the cards. The place settings were simple, but a perfect match to the grand florals and textured linens, with a satin cream napkin, bold menu and a sprig of green.

This was a reception design that nobody will soon forget.

Time to Party

This group came to party…and we love it! LDNL brought the live music all night, they danced the night away…even I ended up singing with the band at one point! Remember when I said Bill had a serious love for the Supreme brand? Well, check out that Supreme LV trunk with OSU embellishments!

Thank you to the creative team!
