The Estate at New Albany Micro Wedding
Jenn and Tim were just the sweetest couple, and I have to say that I just loved their intimate micro wedding at The Estate at New Albany this past January! First of all, I love a winter wedding. But besides that, I truly enjoyed the intimacy of their small, wedding – the importance of their closest family and friends showed throughout the day.
Jenn’s mom hired me after I had coordinated her son’s wedding a few years ago. When we were a couple of months out, in the thick of COVID in late 2020, they had made the decision to continue with their plans, just reduce the guest count to around 30 people to follow Ohio guidelines and keep everyone safe. I didn’t feel like anything was lost without the big crowd – it was the opposite for me. I felt like they had an experience that none of our other clients get. They got to spend quality time with their most important people. They got to give a little extra to each guest. They got to appreciate all the little things. They were able to take in their day entirely.
I helped them finalize their design and rental needs, utilize their spend at the venue, and make the most of their day. Jenn’s grandmother wasn’t able to make it, so they planned a special stop at her house between the ceremony and the reception to give her a flower (and have a beer with her!) – that was just the cutest thing ever.
This wedding at The Estate at New Albany really set the tone for what 2021 would be for us – a year of amazing clients – who are resilient, caring, kind and just plain amazing people. COVID be damned, this wedding was one of my favorites!
