Cleveland Old Courthouse Wedding

April 19th, 2022

Rosie and Tom are my kind of people. They are so fun, love a good party, and clearly adore each other. Their Cleveland Old Courthouse wedding was the perfect venue for a January wedding. I love winter weddings because they are a fun change of pace and there is something magical about winter time. Even for this wedding, which was on one of the coldest days of the year with frigid winds coming off Lake Erie into Downtown Cleveland! While most of our weddings are in Columbus, I occasionally do some in Cleveland (where I’m from originally) which is always really exciting.

Rosie and Tom incorporated a lot of personal elements into their wedding. The stationery featured roses in honor of Rosie’s name and of course the florals included tons of roses in white and mauve. Rosie’s dress also had a mauve touch which was subtle, but beyond beautiful. Rosie’s grandmother gave her a special prayer book for the wedding that was also used for her wedding!

Details

Ceremony

The ceremony was held at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Cleveland. It is such a breathtaking church (even with the outside being under construction!) and made for the most beautiful photos.

Wedding Party

The wedding party was in classic black which is one of my favorite looks. It’s timeless and perfect for any season in my opinion, but especially winter. The white bouquets with hints of mauve and greenery stood out perfectly against the black dresses. And you can never go wrong with a classic black tux! How stunning is this backdrop for photos?! For a Cleveland Old Courthouse wedding, you don’t even need to go anywhere else for pictures which is extremely convenient, especially when it is 15 degrees outside!

Reception

The inside is just as stunning and all of their guests were wowed as they walked in. It’s always so exciting to see everyone’s reactions after many months of planning. Ety at Roses For Weddings did a phenomenal job with the florals. It was classic and fitting for the space without being overdone.

For a showstopping moment, how about that champagne tower?! It was one of my favorite parts of the reception and the guests loved it too! For another personal element of the day, Tom’s uncle played the bagpipes to welcome guests into the reception which was a fun treat.

The night was full of dancing and partying which was exactly what the couple wanted. We ended the night with the coldest sparkler exit in the history of sparkler exits, but it was a success! Cheers to Rosie and Tom and a lifetime of happiness!
