Trends: Colored Wedding Dresses
It has always been considered a tradition for a bride to wear white on her wedding day. However, in recent recent years, brides have opted for colored dresses as a way to stand out and reflect their personality and tastes. Although I am one for traditions, I love the idea of wearing a color other than white.
Here are some trending colors for wedding dresses
Blush
This pastel color looks good an almost any skin tone, and is a subtle way to be unique on your big day. Personally, pink is one of my favorite colors so I love this trend.
Light Blue
As I mentioned in this post, a blue dress is a great way to incorporate “something blue” into your wedding attire. Light blue is also good for a spring or summer wedding, but you could opt for a dustier shade for fall or winter.
Red
Get ready to make a statement in this bold color. You can opt for a purple-red like marsala - Pantone’s color of the year, or go for a bright classic red as well. This color looks very elegant and is perfect for any season.
Black
Amp up the drama with a black dress. I know this color in particular has been very popular recently. It is such a stark contrast to the traditional white. I wear black on a daily basis because I love how versatile the color is. You can either go for an edgy or more elegant look.
There are so many more options when it comes to wedding gowns these days as people are more open-minded about wearing colors other than white. So pick whatever color suits you and rock it with confidence.
xoxo,
Sara
